We have over 20,000 items in The Egham Museum’s collection, ranging from artworks, archaeology and archives, to 3D objects, costumes and photographs.

The Egham Museum has catalogued its collection using a reference system made up of letters and numbers (what the sector calls an ‘Accession Number’). These letters and number denote the type of material the items is, and the order in which we have acquired the item.

  • CER = Ceramics
  • COS = Costume (uniforms)
  • DOC = Documents (all paper-based items)
  • MC = Miscellaneous Collection
  • P = Photographs and Postcards
  • PR = Prints (paintings, prints and framed items)
